Ryan and Olivia, a young couple from Chicago, had just moved into a beautiful hillside home overlooking the city. It was their dream house—modern, isolated, with a perfect view of the skyline.
The first few nights were peaceful. They enjoyed their wine on the balcony, took in the city lights, and marveled at their new life.
Then, on the fifth night, Olivia woke up at 3 AM to a strange sensation.
Someone was watching.
She turned over and saw a shadow in the window. A figure standing on the hill behind their house.
She gasped. “Ryan, wake up!”
Ryan sat up groggily. “What is it?”
Olivia pointed. But the figure was gone.
They chalked it up to exhaustion and went back to sleep.
The next night, Ryan saw it too.
This time, it was closer—standing at the bottom of their driveway. Motionless. Watching.
“Who the hell is that?” he whispered, reaching for his phone to call the police.
The second he dialed—
Their security lights flickered.
And when they looked again, the figure was gone.
The police came, checked the property, and found nothing.
But the real horror began two nights later.
Ryan was working late in his home office when he heard whispers… coming from the security monitor.
He checked the feed—
And there, standing inside their backyard, was the same shadowy figure.
But this time… it wasn’t outside the house.
It was standing in their living room.
Ryan bolted out of his office, heart pounding. He found Olivia frozen at the top of the stairs, staring down at the figure.
It had no face. Just a dark, featureless void where its eyes should be.
Then—
It vanished.
They left that night and never went back.
A few weeks later, the new owners of the house contacted them.
“We keep seeing someone in the security cameras,” they said.
Ryan’s blood ran cold.
“What do they look like?”
Silence.
Then—
“They have no face.”
